Purpose of Collecting Personal Information

To offer platform services to Users, Stem collects certain personal information for the following purposes. This information will only be used for the stated purposes and will not be employed for any other reason. If there is a change in the purpose of use, appropriate actions, such as notifying Users or obtaining additional consent as required by applicable laws, will be taken.

• User identification, customer verification (Stem), management of user information, and delivery of notifications

• Account termination through non-face-to-face authentication, resetting contact details such as phone numbers and emails

Provision of Goods or Services

• Confirmation of digital asset trading relationships

• Overall management of digital asset trading relationships, including setting up, maintaining, and terminating services

• Prevention of unauthorized use

• Analysis of usage statistics, providing new and tailored services

• Continuous improvement and enhancement of platform services

Event Information and Promotions

• Providing information regarding various events and promotional offers

Handling Complaints

• Verifying the identity of complainants and details of complaints

• Contacting users for fact-finding, notifying about processing results

• Addressing damages and errors in transactions

Terminology

For the purpose of this agreement (the "Agreement"), the Platform will be referred to as "we", "us", or "our". Users and other visitors to the Platform will be referred to as "you", "your", or "User". Both "we" and "you" are collectively referred to as "both parties" and individually as "a/one party".

Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information

Generally, your personal information will be kept for 1.5 years after you delete your account or if your account is deactivated due to misuse. This allows time for any reviews by financial institutions or investigations by authorities. If no reviews or investigations occur, we will delete your data completely after this period.

If there is an ongoing investigation related to a legal violation, we will retain your information until the investigation is complete.

If there is any outstanding debt or credit related to your use of our services, your information will be kept until the debt is resolved.

Scope of Application

This Agreement applies to all Users trading on the Stem Global website and its mobile app (the "Platform"). Users must comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing personal information and data protection in the User's respective country or region.

Invocation

Any reference to codes, statutory decrees, or administrative regulations in this Agreement refers to the most recent amended version, regardless of whether the amendment occurred before or after the Agreement was signed.

Use of the Term Include

The term "include" in this Agreement is always intended to mean "include but not limited to," unless otherwise specified.

Information Collected

Users agree that the Platform may use cookies to track their actions while using the Platform and collect various information, including but not limited to IP addresses, geographical locations, and other relevant data. For instance, we may use video (including audio) footage as identity verification for P2P merchants and as evidence in P2P order disputes. Additionally, facial video (including audio) information may be used for Stem identity verification on third-party platforms.

Limitation of Liability

While the Platform takes technical and security measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee that data transmitted over the internet is 100% secure. As such, we do not provide any guarantees regarding the security of the personal information you provide, and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage caused by unauthorized access to your personal data.

Changes to this Agreement

We reserve the right to update this Agreement at any time. If we make changes to the Privacy Policy, we’ll notify you by posting the updates, including the new effective date and details of the changes. In some cases, we may also send you a direct notice. Please review the Privacy Policy regularly. If you continue using the Platform after changes are made, it means you accept the updated terms.

We will publish official announcements only through the valid contact information you’ve provided or by posting them directly on the Platform. We are not responsible for any losses resulting from relying on information obtained through other means.
